I think it stands to reason that 3 days after the fact I should explain something about me writing in English. Well, the reason is quite simple - English is my "native" tongue - although the word native is rather arbitrary here. It's not native per se, but rather the language I think in, and subsequently the language I can express myself the easiest in.

Speaking of which, this anomaly carries over into my life - possibly more than I'd like. I consider myself more Russian-Canadian/Russian North-American than anything else. I have a huge cultural gap in Russian culture - music and movies for example. So this leads me to stare aimlessly at people during conversations about the subjects, thinking "hmm... what ARE they talking about?" Obviously, this also has the flip side, where upon mentioning a part of North-American culture, I get the polite yet rather distinct "smile and nod at the foreigner so he doesn't feel too confused" look.

There was supposed to be more here, but I'm falling asleep. So I'll keep it for later, unless you want me falling asleep on the keyboard.

И так, наверно стоит обьяснить почему я перехожу на английский. Всё предельно просто - это мой "родной" язык. Родной в смысле что я на нём думаю, и на нём мне легче всего выразить свои мысли.

К слову, я чуствую что я больше Русо-Канадец или там Русо-Американец чем кто-нибудь ещё. У меня огромный пробел в русской культуре по всему что связано с музыкой и фильмами например. Очень часто ловлю себя на мысли "а о чём они чёрт побери говорят?" когда что-то такое обсуждается. Соответственно, стоит мне упомянуть элемент Северно-Американской культуры, я часто получаю взгляд по типу "улыбнёмся и кивнём иностранцу, а то он растеряется."

Должно было быть ещё, но больно уж хочется спать. Так что наверно в другой раз.
